Rx Helpers
It takes a village to make Rx and we’re usually looking for help!
Most shifts are 45 minutes long, and in return you dance for free that night!
We strongly recommend coming to Rx a few times before picking up a shift so you can get a feel for the space and the flow.
Here’s a brief overview of the roles:
Set Up: one person, 7:10pm - 8pm
You’re responsible for physically setting things up (sweeping, chairs, tables, lights) and helping the showrunner turn the space into Rx for the dancers that night. Once everything is ready to go, spend the rest of the night dancing!
Front Desk - Opening: two people, 7:45pm - 8:30pm
Get in early and help us get the night started. The opening crew are responsible for setting up the front desk, making sure things are ready to go, and checking dancers in until 8:30pm. Spend the rest of the night dancing!
Front Desk - Prime Time: two people, 8:30pm - 9:15pm
The prime time crew is responsible for checking dancers in during the busiest time of Rx. No setup or teardown required.
Front Desk - Twilight: one person, 9:15pm - 10:00pm
The twilight shift is responsible for getting the last of the dancers in the door, packing things up, and ensuring the door gets locked.
Closer: one person, 11pm-11:30pm
The Closer activates at 11pm after the last song and is responsible for putting everything back in its spot, resetting the auditorium to its default settings, and making sure the showrunner is safe and not alone as they lock up.
